ALEJANDRO HERNANDEZ (Actor) is an independent musician, actor, and entertainer from the West Texas area. He began his music career playing guitar in his church band with his grandparents, Gumecindo and Guadalupe Hernandez. Alejandro has since added many instruments into his repertoire, including piano, saxophone, clarinet, and the list continues to grow.

He pursued a degree in Musical Theatre at West Texas A&M University where he learned much about stage design and development. Alejandro has lent his talents to roles in such shows as "The Secret Garden", "Seussical: the Musical", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", and, most recently, the Wallace's very own production of Jonathan Larson's "RENT". Additionally, he performed in the pit as a guitarist in Lubbock Community Theater's production of "Bonnie & Clyde: the Musical."

Recently, Alejandro has taken on roles that have challenged his acting ability. Such as, "The Book of Will" by Lauren Gunderson, "Barefoot in the Park" by Neil Simon, and "The Dining Room" by A.R. Gurney. He hopes to continue to entertain audiences with whatever opportunities present themselves and looks forward to working with the Wallace again.

LISA MELCHER (Actor) is extremely honored to be joining Anna Hogan and the multi-talented cast for this unique production.  She fell in love with theater by watching one act plays as an elementary school student in Ropesville, Texas, and went on to perform in plays with Ropes High, then productions with South Plains College.  She was absent from the stage for many years before appearing with her daughter at our local Children and Adults Theatrical Studio, for their holiday production of “Christmas Vaudville.”

Over the years, Lisa has appeared in productions of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,”  “The Rivers and Ravines,” “Narnia,”  “Alice in Wonderland,” and “The Beverly Hillbillies.”   Lisa is a graduate of Texas Tech, has two daughters and works as a speech-language pathologist.  She enjoys learning new things, fitness, dance, reading, writing, music and supporting the arts.

BOB HOLTON ( Actor) is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist with degrees from the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University. he developed an interest in community theater while stationed in Germany as a German Linguist with the Army Security Agency.

Bob has had leading roles in the Lubbock area in both plays and musicals including: "Fuddy Meers",  "Noises Off", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest",  "To Kill A Mockingbird", " Paint Your Wagon", " Macbeth", "Wait Until Dark", "The Lifespan of a Fact", and "Oliver".

When not immersed in the theater Bob can be found on the golf course, at the Mahon Library teaching ESL classes with Literacy Lubbock, or working as Treasurer with the CTK conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  He is married to Sharon, costume designer for TTU Opera.

RACHEL BIGGS (Actor) - Rachel is a Lubbock Native who has received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been performing since she was 12 years old and has loved every minute of it! She has performed both locally and around the country in shows such as “RENT” (Maureen Johnson), “Bonnie and Clyde” (Blanche), “HAIR” (Jeanie), “A Little Night Music” (Petra), “Peter Pan” (Peter Pan), and many more. She has also performed in “TEXAS the Outdoor Musical” in Canyon, Texas, at “Santa’s Village” an Amusement Park in New Hampshire, and she just recently worked at Florida Studio Theatre in sunny Sarasota as an Acting Apprentice. At FST she performed in a few children’s theatre shows such “Cinderella” (Wicked Step Mother/ Dance Captain) and as an assortment of roles plus the choreographer in The “Young Playwrights Festival”. While there she also understudied many major roles as well. Such as the World Premiere of “America in One Room” (Jessica u/s) and went on 5 and a half times, “The Play that Goes Wrong” (Annie u/s), and more! She is so grateful to be performing in Lubbock again with the people who were mentors and peers at the start of her theatre career! She sends thanks to all the friends and family who have supported her throughout the years of performing! You can see her next in “Macbeth” as Macduff and “Jekyll and Hyde” as part of the people of London!

MATT LAMAR (Actor) Matthew started his theatre journey his junior year of highschool and after acting in “Diviners” (Buddy Layman) he was bit by the acting bug and knew that theatre was his passion. Matt has experience in both stage acting and film and has received professional training from Rodrigo Tactaquin, Adrian R’Mante, Jonathan Goldstein and Daniel Curtis Lee. Matt is also a recent Graduate from McMurry University with his BFA in theatre with experience in shows like “The Addams Family” (Gomez), “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Puck), “Beauty and the Beast” (Lefou), and “A Doll’s House” (Krogstad). Matt has also acted in two independent films and has now started a journey in playwriting where he wrote the One Act “Lion Heart” which won an award at the Texas Educational Theatre Association in 2022. Matt hopes to continue to grow as an artist and move his career forward and he’s happy to be back home in Lubbock to do so.

AMY FRYAR (Actor) Amy has lived in many places but has always considered Lubbock home. As a Theatre Director at Terra Vista Middle School, she has spent the last 3 years behind the scenes working with young actors and finding creative ways to stretch the budget using only cardboard, duct tape, and a costume closet full of 80s prom dresses.

Before taking on middle school kids some of her favorite roles were Ado Annie in “Oklahoma”, Kate Miller/Tood in two separate productions of “The Cover of Life”, Anne in “Anne of Green Gables”, Helene in “Playing for Time” (in which she only sustained minor injuries from an incorrectly placed metal bucket), Helena in a weirdly inventive, student-directed “Midsummer’s Night Dream”, and most recently as Rebecca Heminges in The Wallace Theater’s production of “The Book of Will”

She is grateful and very lucky to be surrounded by a stellar group of professional creatives who inspire and encourage her every single day. She would like to thank her students for making her laugh and trusting her with their stories and stage fright. She would especially like to thank her family for their unwavering support, especially Sadie, Savi, and Jude who are (mostly) happy to share Mom with the outside world.
